If anything this exercise was probably the most comfortable situation to shoot, I could stand back and pick my subjects without being noticed, it did however present certain difficulties. As you are shooting at a distance you cannot control what steps between you and the subject and it often takes several shots to achieve what you were after.
Shooting at this distance enabled me to get close to the subject without actually being to close to the subject, this made them unaware of my presence which produced the natural shots.
I think creatively wise you can produce much more edgy telling photos of subjects from distance as I'm sure the man in the first two shots would have reacted completely differently had he been aware of the shots I was taking.
